About Me

Manoj Basnet is a distinguished Nepali media executive and the current General Manager of Annapurna Media Network (AMN), Nepal’s largest and most influential media conglomerate. His journey from a grassroots reporter to a top-tier media leader exemplifies resilience, innovation, and visionary leadership in Nepal’s evolving media landscape. With a rich career spanning various leadership roles in Nepal’s top media organizations, Manoj has been instrumental in shaping the country’s media landscape.

He holds professional membership in the American Marketing Association and contributes globally as the Media Coordinator for PAEPI Global on a volunteer basis. Additionally, Manoj is an International Media Advisor for the Youth’s UNESCO Club in the USA, reflecting his commitment to media development and youth engagement on an international level.

 
 
 
 

Before joining Annapurna Media Network, Manoj held key positions including Head of Circulation, Press, and Regional Offices at Kantipur Media Group (KMG), Head of Sales and Distribution at Annapurna Post, and Circulation Manager and Regional Coordinator at Annapurna Post. His earlier experience also includes work in the business bureau and corporate division at Nepal News Network International Pvt. Ltd., as well as starting his career as a reporter at Kantipur Publications.

Manoj completed his studies at Tribhuvan University and is based in Kathmandu, Nepal, originally from Panauti Village. He is married and continues to influence and lead the media industry in Nepal with dedication and vision.

Born in 1987 in Palpaliga village, Panauti-8, Malpi, Kavrepalanchok district, Basnet exhibited leadership qualities from a young age.
